Welcome to a bettor wager. A little research on Google shows that there are over three and a half million searches each year related to football and betting. Then there are forums, Digg, squidoo, websites, name your favorite community here. All of that and there is no real existence on the web for the NFL bettor or enthusiast. That is going to change.

As my blog title states, we’ll be focusing mainly on two topics: NFL picks and NFL rankings. The first topic, NFL picks, will be covering everything from setting up your basic strategy for the NFL season, to analyzing the many methods of making picks. We’ll talk about expected values, spreads, over/under totals, home field advantage, anything that relates to making a football prediction.

Our second topic, NFL rankings will be split into two sub categories, current season rankings, and ranking teams from previous seasons. We’ll cover what the goal of ranking teams is and the many methods in use to rank them. You’ll hear about margin of victory, rule changes, turnovers, offense, defense, yards per play, and some other unconvential methods as well.

Although I own Inside the Numbers, and you will be receiving a decent amount of info from my site, my goal is to pool together links, references, and user comments from visitors like yourself to create a hub of quality information for NFL bettors and enthusiasts.
